The Lizzie Bennet Diaries

You must start watching the Lizzie Bennet Diaries. Now. NOW!

Pride & Prejudice, set in the modern social media age. The characters all have Twitter accounts (which I have helpfully gathered together here). She also has a tumblr account.

The videos are posted every Monday and Thursday, and you must subscribe because they must continue making this so I can watch until the end. The writing is very sharp, the premise is terrific, and the actors are great. My one regret is that I did not discover this a year from now, so I could watch the whole thing without waiting for the next episode.

Patience, I has it.

Thursday cannot come soon enough. She's gonna rant about Darcy ("sounds like a dubstep dj").

Cupcakes and Easter bonnets

Last Saturday I went on the season opener Cupcake Ride. There was a huge turnout, the cupcakes were delicious, and the day was gorgeous. You can click on the link to see Hyedie's recap.

We started at Prairie Girl Bakery, tucked away off King St. E. on Victoria. They provide mini-cupcakes, which as you know I love because it lets me try several flavours and not feel like a pig. So very tasty.

In which Physicsgirl goes international

I have become, of late, obsessed curious about my blog stats. I'm getting a few more readers than the usual 5 due to participating in the LGRAB Summer Games, chasing mailboxes' Utilitaire-12, and being featured as a winter rider on the Cupcake Ride blog, and I like to know which posts people are reading and where they are coming from.

For no particular reason I checked today. I wasn't expecting much, because I haven't posted in over a week, but I got a bit of a surprise...

Hello, whoever you are! Thank you for giving me quite the thrill today! Now the only continent I haven't collected is Antarctica!*

*I had every continent but Australia today. I get Australia thanks to my friend S. Just not today. Sheesh. You'd think he had something better to do, like a postdoc or something. Also? I'm kinda tickled to see that someone is still using Thunderbird.

I could write a sonnet about your Easter bonnet

The indefatigable Mandi, queen bee of Bees Knees Dance, has organized the first ever Toronto Vintage Easter Parade. Based on the pedestrian parade in New York, come on out next Sunday dressed in your finest finery!
