Not with a whimper: MMM14 week 5

So here we are: the final week of MMM14. The prompts again provide not much of a hint for the Where in Toronto is PhysicsGirl guessing game, so better hints are in the mouse-overs. The answer to the first one is actually given. Answers to previous weeks' locations are in the mouseovers at the bottom. I'll give the answers to this week's locations next week.

Pet

The super warm days continued. I'm wearing my still-to-be-blogged grey Thurlows, although you can't really seem them because of cat, and my refashioned Provençal bike chain earrings in honour of Bike to Work day. Once again, I couldn't take part in the group bike-alongs or get pancakes because I had to be at school to make sure my first period exam went off without a hitch. I was hoping the linen trousers would be ideal for the heat, but they felt a little heavy. They did breathe, so that's a plus.

Meal.

I'm wearing my white Butterick 6582, which I had to keep putting off wearing because of rain. I was fortunate to miss the rain today. I need some more belts to wear with it, though, because while I love the styling on this, some variety would be good.

Unique

The heat of the past few days went away and the temperature dipped below 20C. I'm wearing my eyelet dress with biking flares and the Swoon scarf-neck cardigan. I should take in the waist of this dress a bit, but I'm kind of tired of doing any sewing on it. If I do, I might be tempted to add some side gussets in the hips. This is the dress that never ends...

Negative Space

I'm wearing my Lekala spiral jeans skirt and the Swoon cardigan again; I swear, for an outfit I didn't know I was going to make 10 days ago, it's getting a lot of wear. And I further swear that I will take proper photos and blog these babies Soon. I was also wearing my square hoops with "silver" (read: plastic) blocks, but I lost one on the way to the canoe.

I'm wearing my refashioned black waistcoat and I really need to do something with the back because I love the way it looks but it doesn't fit properly at the waist and it's uncomfortable. I'm also wearing my purple Eva earrings.

Sunset

I spent the day in my refashioned math cheat tank top (and non-me-made yoga pants in case you had an image of me hanging out around the house bottomless). We went to the DC's brother's pick-your-celebration party that evening, so I changed into this skirt, which is a refashion of a me-made formal dress from billions of years ago, and the waistcoat from yesterday, worn alone. I was a tad overdressed for the party; also underdressed, since it was a bit too cold to be out in bare legs and sandals.

So that's a wrap on another Me-Made May. I'll post some reflections (along with answers to this week's locations) in a wrap-up post, but that will have to wait a week because so. much. marking. still.
