A sewing challenge that does not involve sewing? Perfect for September, that month where if I'm still awake at 10 pm, it's probably because I'm still up doing lesson plans or marking. Yes, this is the year I stay on top of my marking, for reals. I'd also like it to be the year I stay on top of my sewing and crocheting plans, but I'm not holding my breath.
The point is this One Week, One Pattern challenge merely requires me to wear variants of the same pattern every day for one week. Since I now have multiple Sewaholic Belcarras, that is the obvious -- well, only -- choice.
I decided that instead of selfies, I would take magazine-style outfit photos. Which meant I could put off taking the pictures. Which means that I did, so my recall of some outfit details might be a little fuzzy. Hem. Onward!
Note: what this really means is that I'm posting this timey-wimey fashion because it took me a few weeks to take the last four photos.
Day 1: horizontally-striped Belcarra. During the day, I just wore it with yet-to-be-blogged Thurlow shorts, but in the evening I glammed it up a little to meet Catja and Vicki for drinks. Except I went to the wrong pub, so nobody got to see it. Next time.

Day 2: "floral" Belcarra, worn with my Oona maxi. I'm not sure this goes, but I'm not sure it doesn't. Anyway, what else should I wear to run errands?

Day 3: blue Belcarra. I'm always really happy when I find something I can wear with these trousers. Which I really wish I could say I made. Love that embroidery.

Day 4: Vertically-striped Belcarra. I basically stole my Saturday night look since I felt *somebody* should see it.

Day 5: White eyelet Oona Belcarram worn with my Lekala spiral gore jeans skirt. On the left is what I wore to school, but when we went to see Wicked later that night, I needed to add a jacket and change into boots because it got really chilly. Too chilly for eyelet, if truth be told.

Day 6: Blue Belcarra, the sequel, worn with my Koi is coy skirt.

Day 7: "Floral" Belcarra. I didn't think this one would be one of the versions that would get a second wearing, but it was a day that required trousers and I didn't think the vertically-striped version would go with the brown.

Bonus day 8: And it gets a third wear! Worn to a friend's open-house, it turns out that the "floral" Belcarra goes really well with this olive jacket. This is like the perfect early fall outfit. Once I can figure out which way is front. Only took me three tries with this one...

I'm very pleased I have multiples of this pattern. It's a quick make and quite versatile. I need to sew ribbon tabs into the backs so I can easily determine front from back, but that's my only quibble with them. I think I need a red version, now. And rust. Maybe a burgundy. Oh, and green...
