Lucky number 13: Errandonnées #11-13

My last three errands covered the rest of the categories and took place in more spring-like weather. But the wind, my friends. Nothing comes near to breaking my bike mojo like the wind.

Errand the eleventh: going to work in the rain. And wind. The wind in particular. Category: work/volunteering. Distance: 12.2 km. Sadly, the rain meant that I couldn't do the video. Also the massive wind? Blew my bike over, knocking off my back light, which took me 10 minutes to find. 10 minutes I didn't have. Then, the wind? Made my commute longer. Bad start to the day.

Errand the twelfth: optometrist. Category: personal care. At any rate, I am hoping I will soon be able to see. But I thought that getting older and slowly becoming presbyopic meant that my near-sightedness would decline. Not so much. Biking home in the rain with super dilated eyes was fun -- fortunately I went through the park.

Errand the last: dinner at Terrazza. Category: social call. Distance: 2.6 km Obs: I've always wanted to try this place because of the bike park they have in front. Fortunately, the food is also pretty good. #errandonnee #lastoneIswear

BTW, the lovely orange beast in the foreground is the DC's new ride, his Bobbin having developed a crack clear through the weld where the seat tube met the top tube. Not awesome in any bike, but particularly one that is less than four years long.

So another Errandonnée completed. The biking, and no doubt the wind, will continue.
