Wow. So this week, I failed the "no-more-than-one-repeat-a-week" part of the challenge. Twice. First because I have been way too lazy to actually, you know, go outside my apartment — the deck is technically part of my apartment, even though it is outside. I've been rereading Robin McKinley books and some higher-class historical romances* and didn't really get out of my pjs for three days. It is officially late Spring (people are calling it Summer already, but I'm not going to risk it) and I think it is finally time to take all my warm-weather clothes out of hibernation.
Once I finish that chapter.

Behind Scythes and Co. on the Western Toronto Railpath. "Behind"
I've been spending a lot of time, recently, on the Railpath, and I really love the text on this building. It's still fairly cool in the morning, so I took the opportunity to give my Sylvia sweater a final airing; I finally resewed all the buttons on with actual non-embroidery thread, so we can presume they will stop falling off. I'm also wearing my Cake Bonny tee, Jalie jeans, and burgundy hoops.

At home. "Liquid"
I told you you'd be seeing these peacock pjs again. I pretty much spent Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in these pjs. Not sorry.

"Message"
I love getting ebooks from the library because you don't have to bestir yourself to either pick them up or return them, but real books are better for writing messages.

Didn't even bother taking a photo. Scroll up if you like. "My fave colour"Seriously, seriously lazy. It's actually a bit of a toss-up about whether blue or burgundy is my favourite colour, but I don't have burgundy pyjamas. Yet. But honestly, if you haven't read Sunshine by Robin McKinley, you should. I'm not generally a fan of the whole magic-vampire-fantasy genre, but her writing is fantastic and she's even more in love with footnotes on blogposts than I am**.

Kensington Market-ish. "Triangle"
The DC dragged me out of my pjs so we could go to a patio in Kensington to celebrate our friend G's birthday. I'm wearing the sheer forest green Mathilde I wore last Saturday; it turns out the neckline didn't need to be redone but the yoke just needed to be pressed hard. The ubiquitous Jalie jeans make for a better silhouette and the black mohair Swoon cardigan (in the bike basket for the ride home, oddly enough) was rather welcome when the patio turned a bit chilly.

Miceli's Nursery. "Flowers"
You never plant in Southern Ontario until the May 2-4 weekend. I'm hoping to get mine planted soon.
I'm wearing my Jalie jeans again, because I totally forgot that I'd worn them twice already, and my pink paisley Belcarra, my "cherry blossom" earrings, and a pair of Mary knickers fashioned from the sleeves of my M*A*T*H t-shirt.

Peter Pan Bistro. "Time"
It's always time for brunch, although it was surprisingly challenging for the DC to find time to go this month. I'm wearing my polka dot Simplicity 2451 and what was the top of a knit dress. It was a lovely dress, but the fabric was horrible for a dress: the skirt kept clinging onto everything. I chopped the top off and made a band for the waist out of the skirt. The DC loves this top and black goes surprisingly well with this skirt.
New Items
Um. Nothing. Oops. Too much reading. I started to make the Simplicity 2451 out of my brown sprint wrap skirt, but there's not quite enough fabric, so I need to find some black rayon or something to make the front and back panels.UFOs F'd
My green Mathilde jumped out of the UFO pile. I will blog it eventually. I haven't sewn the buttonhole ribbon onto the Sylvia yet, but at least I'm not embarrassed to wear it anymore &mdash not that I'll be wearing it again until fall. We'll call it a half. I didn't finish any blogposts because I was reading instead of writing.Geeky stats:
Me-mades: 7/7; Refashioned: 2/7; Sewing: 11; Crochet: 1; Jewellery/Other: 2; UFOs f'd: 0.5/8
Monthly total: Me-mades: 22/22; Refashioned: 2/22; Sewing: 35; Crochet: 5; Jewellery/Other: 6; UFOs f'd: 6.5/16

*They're still a bit trashy, but very well written and have several call-backs to classic literature.
**She has a good hierarchy for the sub-footnotes, too. And I'd love it if the Story Council would send her another Sunshine story, too.
